Roleystone Vs Kardinya Kats – Springdale Park 19.06.11

Kardinya opened the game scoring the first goal & followed up with a 2^nd goal quickly. A great mark by James put the ball in Roleys forward resulting in a goal for Roley. A powerful kick from Jackson saw Kardinya put the pressure on & despite no leads Jackson worked hard & came through kicking Roley’s 2^nd goal. Jackson playing strong footy & continued to fight hard for Roley ensuring the ball made its way back into Roleys forward. Despite Kardinyas strong start Roley dominated this quarter. At times Roley let the pressure off giving  Kardinya the opportunity to run the ball out of the centre and score. A great mark by Brodie stopped the Kats in their tracks. Roley 3:2 Kardinya 3:0

2^nd quarter and both sides clearly putting the pressure on. A great screamer by Sam M & a speccy mark by Brayden (25). Great teamwork from Brayden (28) and Jackson saw the ball to Easty resulting in another goal for Roley. Some exciting football this quarter had parents on the edge of their seats. A 50m by Mark resulted in a goal for Roley and a solid run by Brodie however Kardinya upping the pressure and their efforts reflected on the scoreboard. A mark by Jack gave Roley the opportunity to reply with another goal. Brayden (25) working hard to keep the pressure on & an outstanding 30m goal from Eddie.  Kye working hard with some serious shepherding to assist Justin. Roleys limited use of hand ball skills evident this quarter. Roley 8:10 Kardinya 5:2

Roley working hard 3^rd quarter resulting in 1^st goal of the quarter. Brayden (25) playing well in the ruck taking the ball into the forward resulting in a goal by Jackson. The Kats put the pressure back on & Roley had to work hard to keep possession of the ball. Brodie was dependable in defence and managed a great save in the goal square stopping Kardinya from scoring however despite outstanding efforts from Brodie & Brayden (28) Kardinyas persistence paid off with a goal. Roley offering team players limited leads & openings this quarter. Roley 10:11 Kardinya 9:3

Kardinya started strong this quarter fighting hard for the ball. Justin got the ball into the forward but Roley unable to keep it in there for long. Kardinya proving they want it desperately… Great shepgherd from Justin and Brodie im[pressive in defence keeping Kardinya at bay. A great mark by Sam M however Jack & Easty outnumbered by Kardy players. Jackson & Brodie putting all their heart into keeping Roleys lead. An impressive 30m kick from Jayden for a point, hard tackling from Jake & finally the beautiful sound of the siren giving Roley their 1^st win this season – YAY TIGERS!!!
