Roleystone Vs Lakes - Nicholson Park

With some good hard work from Sam M, Brodie ran the ball out of the back to James who kicked it up into the square with Mark kicking a goal. The ball went straight from the bounce to the backline where once again thanks to their hard work Jake took possession and passed it to Eddie who ran the ball through the centre and passed it to Jackson who scored a point for Roley. From the kick in there was some hard work from Jake to get the ball into Roley's forward line. The backline was kept busy working hard with Brodie and Brayden (28) playing outstanding defence.

Second quarter saw the ball straight into the backline from the bounce with Brodie and Sam M once again playing outstanding defence. The play was busy with the ball moving quickly from backline to forward line and Jake, Brodie and Sam M commended for their efforts and fight for possession. Lakes were winning all the centre breaks so it was putting a lot of pressure on the backlineand noted efforts from Jayden and Sam M for trying to get the ball out of the centre to Roley's forwards. Some good tackles from Jake and Justin, gaining possession and passing on to Liam who marked the ball in the last line of defence. In general the boys were dropping some easy chest marks this quarter,

Third quarter Roley won the ruck tap with Sam M running hard and Justin doing some great shepherding to assist the ball make its way into our forward line and Jackson kicking a goal. Once again Brodie working hard, kicking the ball to Sam M who kicked the ball into the centre where Jake ran on and kicked a goal from outside of the 50. The boys started a lot better this quarter with a lot more fight. Kye working well passing the ball to Riley who kicked it to Brayden (28) who marked the ball and played on to kick a goal. The boys were playing well and keeping the ball in our forward line where James marked the ball and went successfully for goal. Eric did a great tackle, gaining possession of the ball and kicking it on to Sam M who ran the ball into the centre. Some good hard and solid play from Riley, Liam and Sam T.

Fourth quarter saw Sam M and Riley in the packs fighting hard for possession of the ball with Jack getting the ball out of the backline. The backline was kept busy and under siege as a result of Lakes winning the centre breaks. Eric and Liam commended for some great tackles and Eddie successful in getting the ball back to Roley's forward line. With a good ruck tap from Mark, Jake took the ball back to Roleys forward where Mitchell scored a point. Jake and Jayden fighting hard to keep the ball in the forward with Mark, Easty and James commended for their great shepherding, smothers and tackles.
