Springdale Park
The Kelmscott boys emerge from the change room sporting a great deal of hair product whilst Roley boys presented some what working class - ready to take on a game of football. Parker & Nairn were absent from the side however the sizeable squad was able to cover the losses. Kelmscott flew out of the blocks with outstanding midfield players. James tried hard in the clinches but was swamped with opposition class. A few positional changes saw Eric and Mitchell give abit of contest in the midfield with Sam Mac running well off half back. Brodie showed courage out in the backline to win ground ball contest and used his disposals effectively.
2nd quarter saw the Tigers make a greater contest. Eric led by example with Sam Mac, Brodie and Reece following by way of putting a body in and contesting. A series of link ups saw a clever little Jack kick to Brayden (28) and score a goal.
3rd qtr commenced with a fantastic centre clearance & goal within the first 30 seconds. A great deal of fight was shown all round with Kye racking up a few possessions across half forward with Justin to come into the game.
The 4th qtr was dominated by the Roley boys who showed some true discipline & effort. Most of the game was played in Roleys front half thanks to some improved Ruck contesting from Brayden (25) and 3 centre clearances from Eddie. James & Jackson created forward line opportunities. The final result whilst a 10 goal difference on the scoreboard was a far more committed & team effort from the Roley boys...
