Roleystone Tigers headed down to Dockers country for Round 3 to take on Freo Hawks now revamped as Freo City Dockers.

Freo grabbed the first 6 points after the ball spent alot of time down the wings. Both sides were fumbling the ball - Tigers needed to apply more pressure. We peppered the goals but Tigers could only post points - a great mark by Jake F should have been rewarded but finally Courtney kicked straight. Three minutes later after some solid work in the middle Jake F got his 6 points from another lovely mark. Tigers need to keep the pressure up, some great team work by Ben C and Ben H kept our score ticking over, 21 points up at the first break.

At the start of the second Ryan worked the ball to Ben C and he kicked a lovely goal. In the backline Lawrence ran the ball out downt he wind and Gary was solid, but the Dockers kept coming at us, we needed to hold marks and man up. After a Freo mistake Tigers managed to grab a quick goal but then Freo got it back and soon after kicked another. Tigers needed to hold marks and intensify the pressure, they were using the wind better than us and posting 6 points to our 1's.  At the long break they were only 1 goal behind.

In the 3rd quarter Coach Sam gave the boys a spray but Freo were running hard, we needed to keep the pressure on. Lawrence stopped the rot with a lovely running goal but Freo wouldnt buckle and kept running hard. Marcus stopped a sure scoring shot with a great run and tackle, the Dockers were applying pressure but our backline was tight.  In the 3rd we kept them scoreless - credit to some great work by Ryan and Nick.  We took a 28 point advantage into the 4th quarter.

Freo got the 1st shot on goal but it was a lovely running kick by Cody that ticked our score over, Freo had there chances but Tigers wouldnt relent. Michael put in a solid game kicking a great goal after the siren. In the 4th we were just trading the ball back and fourth and our fitness was a factor towards the end of the game.  

We got the win but there is still work to be done.
