BALDIVIS v's ROLEYSTONE @ Settlers Hill Oval

Tigers travelled to Settlers Hill to take on Baldivis, sitting second on the ladder.  The last time these 2 teams tangled it was a 3 poit game - so there were plenty of positives for Roleystone.  In the 1st both teams were fighting hard for the ball but Baldivis posted the 1st score.  A great run by Monty down the wing saw Jim kick our 1st goal.  The pressure was on with Baldivis using their height and getting alot of the ball - they peppered the goals kicking 4 points and keeping the score low.  Kallan was taking them on but meeded more support.

The 2nd quarter started and Stevie grabbed the ball from Brandon's ruck tap and kicked a blinding goal, but Baldivis grabbed 2 back.  A great kick around the borner by Jim pegged the score back to 10 points but we needed to stick to our players.  The umpires had to stop some agro on the sidelines and when the game resumed there was only 2 goals in it - still winnable for the Tigers. 

Baldivis came out fighting and grabbed 3 quick goals - some from free kicks and our undiscipled play.  We needed to lift our heads and get back in the game - but 6 goals to Baldivis in the 3rd put them 50 points up.  Steven never stopped running all day, Kallan also put alot of effort in.  All our boys tried hard with lots of scond efforts. 

3 good goals - one on the run in the 4th quarter helped our score along - but Baldivis ran out winner by 46 points.
