KELMSCOTT v's ROLEYSTONE @ John Dunn

On the long weekend in June, Roleystone came up againt one of the ladder leaders Kelmsott on their home turf.  Both sides seemed evenly matched, but it was Kelmscott who posted the 1st goal.  Alex N and Jordan C put in some effort, David S worked hard and helped the Tigers get our 1st score.  Brandon Mc ws jumping well in the ruck.  Kelmscott was getting loose and finding space, their talls were holding some crucial marks in front of goals.  We needed to hit targets and lift our kicking rate.  Kelmscott slotted one through right on quarter time giving them a 10 point lead.

They grabbed the 1st goal within the 1st minute but we ran down forward and unluckily Paul A missed.  Cody S came off with a knee injury, Steven C came off for a rest - Kelmscott were getting loose and piled on the goals that quarter.

Tigers were losing the free kick count too - the boys behaviour on both sides was getting ugly.  The umpires needed to keep control.

The start of the 3rd Kelmscott got an easy goal thanks to a 50 meter penalty, but Tigers were still running.  David S and Monty S were putting in 2nd efforts - Josh W was giving the ruck a red hot go, but Kelmscott were holding marks and pushing hard.  Tigers got a goal back, but it was too little to late, Kelmscott had the game by the throat.  Cody S grabbed a screamer in the middle of the ground, Michael S was running hard and taking some hard bumps, but Roleystone couldnt find the goals - Kelmscott were to quick and seemed like they had a couple of extra players on the ground.

In the last Aaron A kicked 3 great goals with one right on the siren - a great positive to take into next week.
