Match Details: "Rivralry round for Roleystone U14s as they come up against Kelmscott at their home ground."

On a perfect day for football, Roleystone were ready for a great game against their arch rivals Kelmscott as they battle it out for dominance in the competition.

The game started with an air of anticipation as what was to come as Roleystone has always been the clear favourite when these teams meet.  The quarter commenced with pretty even play throughout the ground by both teams as they tried to out maneourve each other for the ball with tackling attempts and strong contests.  The Bulldogs were trying to score early on in this quarter for the upper edge but it was great defensive play by David, Connor and Anthony that spoilt their chances on a lead in the first.  Rolestones attack at the ball was apparent with solid team effort from all,  as more players were sharing the ball and helping out around the ground.   Great determination by Michael, Brodie, Clay and Mathew with hard work that paid off as Brendan shined in the forward line with strong marking,  booting through two glorious goals for the team effort.  Another goal by Mathew sealed the lead by what looked to be a close game with Roleystone only up by a goal at the end of the quarter.

The next term was just as action packed for Roleystone as all the players worked hard at the ball.  An indication of all being involved was that the goal scorers were all singles to 3 players - Callum, Cameron and Simon.  Well done to all the team - with Liam great in defence with Troy and Brodie.  Simon, Ollie and Clay were excellent in attack with Bryce and Mathew making their strong presence known as key players working together down the ground.  Another fantastic quarter of football had Roleystone in the lead by 3 goals at the half time break.

The next half of the game and Roleystone was keeping up their momentum at the ball with Clay particularly standing out throughout the ground at his attempts for the ball, having fantastic game for the Tigers.  Their was strong contests amongst players from the two teams, some in puddles, with goals to Bryce and Mathew this quarter.  Strong marks throughout the ground with great teamwork had Roleystone up by 33 points going into the 4th.

Roleystone had the breeze in the last term to their advantage for a great start to the quarter.  Brendan and Clay working together was a terrific goal to Clay and then more goals to Simon and Ollie .  Mathew was outstanding in the ruck asserting himself at the ball with Jamie working hard down the ground with Simon passing to Brendan for his third goal for the game. It was good to see the Tigers confidence up and working as a team as Roleystone stormed home with a 67 point win.
