 BEST WE FORGET!

1st quarter

Springdale Oval  - the rain held off for the start of the game, but the wind played havoc at goal scoring shots. Great defensive work led by Dylan Jarvis kept South Coogee’s score down. Alex M shone in the offence but unfortunately there was no turn over in the score. Roleystone didn't make good use of their opportunities but were not out of contention.

2nd quarter

Rain started for the 2nd Quarter making conditions slippery. Continual harassment by Roleystone across the ground saw South Coogee make many pressured mistakes in front of goals but Roleystone had lost momentum which enabled South Coogee to score several quick goals.

3rd Quarter

Forward momentum shone through for Roleystone. Nick Z in the centre with hit outs by Courtney, worked well, but getting past South Coogee defence proved an Everest of a problem and the score line didn't reflect the effort our boys were putting in.

4th Quarter

Great start for Roleystone in the 4th quarter. The Tigers came out firing all guns looking to salvage their pride.  Excellent pressure from the midfield to our attacking half saw Ryan Hunt actually score our only goal. South Coogee  played a fast moving game constantly on the move but we laid some great tackles in the last quarter. Was always billed as a tough game - South Coogee White are in a league of their own.

FINAL SCORE : Roleystone 1:4                            South Coogee 20:16

GOALS: 1 Ryan Hunt
