Match Details

"On Michael's 50th Game Day, the Roleystone U14s were at home for the match against Kwinana"

The first half of the game was somewhat one-sided as Roleystone tried to penetrate the play through the centre yet a strong Kwinana was contesting the marks and winning the ball for goal scoring.  Key defenders Mathew, Michael and Clay were outstanding in defence as they applied pressure but Kwinana had some quick, tall players in their forward who were able to get the ball on their boot to cause some major damage to the scoreboard.  Jamie had some great leading in the forward fifty and then in defence he was a strong presence to knock and contest the ball but it wasn't enough as Kwinana increased their lead for the half time break.

The next half of the game was a different story as Roleystone won the third quarter by stopping Kwinana's ability to score as the Tigers gained more possession throughout the ground.  Excellent pressure was exerted by the Roleystone players, with Connor, Clay, Michael, Bryce, Lochie and Brodie pushing the ball forward to achieve two goals by Ollie in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Mathew's sheer determination and dominance through the centre, he was having a brilliant game in his leadership role.  A true highlight of this quarter was the courageous play by Liam who was positioned on Kwinana's full forward who was clearly bigger yet who says size matters, as he was the catalyst for Roleystone bringing the ball out of the defence through the corridor with Sam and Clay as Lochie boots a sensational goal for the Tigers.  Roleystone had contained Kwinana's scoring in this half which was a great achievment to all the players.

Keep up the great effort, Go the Mighty Tigers!!.
