OH WHAT A MAULING!!
The boys travelled to Briggs Park on an overcast Sunday afternoon to face the winless Centrals having come off the back of a convincing win last weekend.
The first quarter saw Roleystone use their height advantage and dominate the quarter scoring 7.6 to Centrals’ 0.0. Dylan did a great job in defence holding out the opposition and keeping them scoreless.
The second quarter started well. Courtney took over the ruck from Ben H so that Roley could have two tall targets in the forward line. Roleystone were just getting started with another 9.2 to 0.0 from Centrals.
Tony was happy with the use of space and handballing but still thought the execution was poor. He told the boys to stay focused and man up.
Centrals came out hard after a heated half-time talk from their coach and finally managed their first goal, but Roleystone were up to it and scored and impressive 6.8 for the quarter.
Roleystone cruised home in the last - finishing with a strong 6.3 to Centrals’ 1.2.
The Central boys' height was no match for the Giants from Roleystone!
Well done to the boys, a great win and a great team effort as well as several brilliant individual performances.
