A beautiful Autumn Sunday afternoon at Orelia Park on Christmas Street saw Ryan Hunt lead the U15s through the banner to celebrate his 100th game for the Roleystone Tigers – Congratulations Ryan!
First quarter went according to plan with Roley booting 2.4 to a sleepy solitary behind from Kwinana. The sound of the siren stirred the hosts however and by half time Roley strolled into the brewing storm of Coach Siroen with parents and media denied access to the changing rooms!
Whatever was ‘said’ was heeded. In the 3rd Laurie and Luke slotted a goal apiece aided by a couple of minors by team mates while holding the hosts to 1.4. We were back on track at the final break .. just!
Going in to the final quarter Coach Tony warned the boys about the dangers of being drawn too far out on the wings of the very wide oval, the lead changed hands twice but Roley ended up on the wrong side of the ledger. Unfortunately a couple of missed opportunities denied Roley their first present of the season.
