Congratulations to U15s Captain Jarrod Rudkin 50 Games (with proud parents Karen & John)

New season, new players new captain. With the mercury topping 33c for the opening game of our 2010 season the boys were panting in the shade at Springdale oval - surely this was cricket weather? Led on to the field by Captain Jarrod Rudkin celebrating his 50th game in the black and gold, the boys were facing quality opponents in 2009 finalists - Kelmscott. By half time the visitors had booted 6.9 to our 1.1 and the sun wasn't retiring either. Kelmscott created a nightmare for the interchange official with their rotations (surely a record for interchange recording - using 4 sheets instead of the usual 1 and a half!! ) In the rooms  Coach Tony Siroen's motivational talk was hard yakka but did the trick for the 3rd with Roley finding some magic on returning to the field to kick 4.2 to Kelmscott's 3.4. The effort in the heat took it's toll however and Kelmscott came back in the 4th again kicking 3.4 to Roley's 1.3 - just not enough to get the points.

FINAL SCORE: Roleystone 6.6 Kelmscott 12.18 GOALS 3 Siroen, 1 Rudkin Chmielewski Zavetteri
