The 15's hosted Cockburn at home, a tough team that pipped us last year for a shot in the final.  They lost to South Coogee, but the rivalry remains.

The Tigers started with 16 players, injuries are causing a headache for Coach Sam.  The game was intense, both teams running hard and seemingly evenly matched.  It was ten minutes before the 1st goal - a lovely goal running shot by Tony.  Cockburn grabbed the next one, but the Tigers were trying hard.  Sean C was working well, Blake was holding his own in the back, but Cockburn had some tall boys and they were getting loose - some uncontested marks in the forward area put them 13 points up at quarter time.

Cockburn were using the wide Springdale Oval well, but wayward shots kept their score down.  Two minutes to go they finally posted 6 points and got another on the siren.  Cockburn 29 points up at half time.

Tigers grabbed the 1st goal in the third, a fantastic mark by Scott right on the line and a good goal.  Monty and Sean L were working 110% running the length of the oval.  Sean C and Chris were going for the second efforts down back.  Monty came off with exhaustion and our boys rallied and grabbed 2 quick goals.  Sean L popped another through and we got within 10 points.

The game got nasty with tired bodies falling heavily, our boys tried so hard and ran the whole game out - keeping Cockburn to a low score.  They won the match but we won the day.

Well done boys we are all very proud of you.
