Game Three of the season was a cold sunny morning at the Forrestdale home ground. The boys were ready to take on the Falcon's after a three week game break with the team looking forward to a win. The opening of the match was terrific for Roleystone with a clearance from centre by Simon and plenty of team talk and play by Callum, Bryce, Mathew and Jeremy with Adam scoring the first behind for the match. It was gutsy performances by Josh R, Daniel, Cameron with Callum scoring the first goal of the game for Roleystone.

The quarter was very much dominated by Roleystone with the centre clearances and huge efforts by the Roleystone forward line with wet conditions from the morning's dew made it difficult for picking up and marking. They never gave up though pushing back into the fifty with Daniel, Cameron and Simon all scoring behinds consecutively. It was Jeremy working hard on the wing with Bryce, Lochie and Mathew which paid off for a goal to Tom who burst through the pack and managed to score a beauty. The first quarter ended on a high note with Cameron kicking a goal from a set shot, great play Roleystone, excellent team work a fantastic start to the game with three goals, three points and Forrestdale only one goal for the quarter.

The second quarter started quickly with Forrestdale clearing centre and giving the backline of Jamie, Clay, Anthony a workout and helping out was Simon, Liam and Troy defending hard. Forrestdale had upped their tempo working strong at the ball with big kicks down the ground to score a behind. The backline was put on the pressure with Jamie and Clay working solidly for Roleystone with some great saves at the goal line. Roleystone were pushing hard trying to advance the ball down their end but with some crowding and our sticky fingers made the task hard with the drought finally lifting when Adam got the ball to Mathew for a major. Lochie was creating space down the wing for the guys to kick to although Roleystone needed to look up and pin point their kicks to each other. It was Lochie, Michael, David, Bryce, Jeremy, Callum and Adam working tirelessly down the ground and the efforts of the backline limiting Forrestdale to a point this quarter. Roleystone had plenty of chances to score yet only 3 behinds resulted with snaps by Josh H at goal a couple of times.

The third quarter was very much dominated by Forrestdale who were revved up and ready to go . They kicked goal after goal as their confidence increased and our backline took a pumping. The efforts of Clay, Jamie, Adam, Troy and Anthony were outstanding defending hard giving everything to stop Forrestdale's flood of goals. They were on the come back and Roleystone was tested in defence. Roleystone had some good plays with Clay to Simon and a strong kick to Jamie but it was soon back down Forrestdale's end. There was not much action in Roleystone's forward line this quarter with a behind to Cameron and four goals, three points to Forrestdale.

The fourth quarter saw both teams come out fighting as it was a close match and both hungry for a win. The ground was drying out and the ball was being picked up a little easier now, with Tom, Mathew, David and Lochie working well down the ground. The game had evened out a bit now with plenty of centre action and play by both teams. Darian was getting in there and trying for goals as was Simon and Josh H as we tested the Forrestdale backline. It was a brilliant goal by Lochie that got the crowd cheering eager for more and then an attempt at goal with a behind resulting that closed the game as Roleystone ran out of time to make another score. The final result turned out to be forty six points each, much to everyone's surprise, a draw for both teams.
