Round 3 scratchmatch Roleystone 10's v's Leda 16/05/09 PDF Print E-mail

It was a hot day for footy but we had been looking forward to a tough game against Leda as it was last year. The boys looked pumped as they warmed up for the match itching to run out and begin the game. First quarter was full of action with Roleystone winning tapout and scoring first goal. All the boys showing excellent skills.

Second quarter started well with everyone showing tremendous skill in both defence and offence providing more chance of keeping the ball in our forward half. The parents were in for a great specticle.

Half time brought a few tired faces but with the coach's words of encouragement they ran back out with determination and played the third quarter with great sportsmanship and teamwork outscoring the opposition. Roleystone finished the game as strong as they started moving the ball well as a team. After the game the team were all looking forward to their hotdog (cooked to perfection by Sam) and drink. Also a special mention to the umpire of the day Ryan Hunt who did an exceptional job which helped make it an even more exciting contest.
