On a sunny but windy day the match started with our boys kicking with the aid of the breeze. Our backline had to hold off numerous Armadale attacks. The first goal of the match was kicked by opportunistic forward Jayden Turpin.
The beginning of the second quarter was once again highlighted with desperate defensive work. This lasted the whole quarter as the boys battled manfully into the breeze.
The third quarter was when the excellent teamwork of the side really kicked into action. The opposition had many players in the back half but the boys managed their way around this. This period also marked the arrival of Ryan Burrows as a player to watch. He kicked three goals all in different fashion.
The last quarter was a dogged affair with Armadale goaling quickly and Roleystone answering through Matthew Collis.
It was a pleasure to watch the boys work hard for the win after a much easier game the week before. Special mention must be made of Tom Myall-Browns display of skill and courage.
