It was Springdale for Round 9 and the weather was fine and dry, a wonderful change for the Match Reporter Vicki Sallur after last weekends wet n wild conditions...
Bath teams used the wide spaces well, but it was Armadale that scored first. Some hard running down back through Beau moved the ball forward and the Tigers evened the score. Cody put in a great effort along the wing, Liam used his pace and Josh finished it off for him with a lovely mark and kick. Some fantastic team work from our backs, through the middle with a great centreing kick Michael resulted in another 6 points. The Tigers in charge at the first break.
Both teams came out running in the second, but it ws Roleystone that scored first - some hark work by Jacob in the forward area saw him snap true. Alex stopped a likely goal with some fantastic defensive work, Peter put in some hard work in the back as well - Armadale scoreless in the second quarter.
Tony was eager for the ball, Scott stopped some forward thrusts by Armadale. At the start of the third the Tigers locked the ball into our forward area, finally getting the goal, Monty kicking his third - but Armadale lifed a gear and popped a couple through. Brandon lifted his work rate and Roleystone's score kept ticking over, Brandon's taps forward gave us some run through the middle, Josh W enjoying his time on the wing.
In the fourth it was all Roleystone, Rober got 4 for the game, Chris put in some hard work, Sean was very handy in the half back, Tom put in 100%.
The tigers running out winners by 70 points.
Roleystone 14.13-97 Armadale 4.3-27
