Round 6 and it was another Saturday night of football, this time at Santich Park. It was the top of the table clash with The Tigers v's South Coogee White - both undefeated.
It was South Coogee White though that scored the first major and the second not long after. South Coogee used the wide spaces well running the ball along the wings. The Tigers fought hard and after a great set up from Josh W kicked a boomer for 6 points. Our backs worked hard, Alex was rock solid, Cody did some great defensive work putting his body on the line.
The Tigers got the ball from the bounce and after some fantastic team work through Tom and Tony the Tigers scored just 1 point in it at the first break. South Coogee came out firing in the second quarter - some telling marks adding to their score. David put his head down, Tom grabbed a lovely mark, Michael saw alot of the ball along the wing working hard. The Tigers needed to man-up, South Coogee had to many loose men around the ground and seemed hungrier for those majors - 4 of them blowing the score out - South Coogee 25 points up at half time.
Roleystone just didn't seem tough enough tonight, South Coogee were just to quick. The Tigers breaking down at half forward, some of our boys coming off with funny tummy's. South Coogee were just to good on the night giving our boys a good old fashioned thrashing.
South Coogee White 13.17 - 95 Roleystone 4.4 -28 |
