It was Centrals that scored first though and as the raim came down Centrals kept the ball in their forward 50. The heavy ground was worrying our boys, they heavy rain made it very hard to get possession - Tony worked hard in the 1st quarter but just couldnt get a shot on goal. Tigers stepped up and moved the ball forward but the time ran out - Roleystone three goals down at the first break.

Roley Tigers were blessed with beautiful fine weather for the Round 12 match, a far cry from the atrocious winter stormy conditions of the few days before. The only sour note was Cody out injured and the ground was a bit chopped up thanks to vandals.
It was Roleystone who got the first score, Josh B soccering it through. Jandakot were tough in the tackles but the Tigers popped 2 more goals through before the Jets got it into their forward line. Ruckman Brandon worked hard, following the ball forward and kicking a lovely goal. Tigers got 3 more, the Jets scoreless that quarter.

Roleystone Tigers descended down the hill to take on Fremantle Hawks. The contest was fierce but the Hawks owned the front spot and our bos had to do alot of chasing. Sean worked hark on centre half back, stopping some Fremantle forward thrusts. Some fabulous team work from back brought the ball forward and Monty and Tony combined saw Tomy possing through a lovely goal. Roleystone hung on to win the quarter but there were too many dropped marks and we needed to get in front.

Billed as the match of the Round, the game between Cockburn and Roleystone was expected to be a ripper with the Tigers eager to post a win after the draw in Round One.
Roleystone got the 1st foray forward but it was Cockburn who slotted the 1st goal. Some hard work on the wing by the Tigers got the ball to Monty who ran into the forward 50 and grabbed our 1st 6 points. The Tigers needed to man up, Cockburn were too loose around the ground. The heavy conditions under foot made it hard to pick up the ball, but Cockburn worked it out better and had great support. They were 18pts up at the 1st break.

It was Springdale for Round 9 and the weather was fine and dry, a wonderful change for the Match Reporter Vicki Sallur after last weekends wet n wild conditions...
Bath teams used the wide spaces well, but it was Armadale that scored first. Some hard running down back through Beau moved the ball forward and the Tigers evened the score. Cody put in a great effort along the wing, Liam used his pace and Josh finished it off for him with a lovely mark and kick. Some fantastic team work from our backs, through the middle with a great centreing kick Michael resulted in another 6 points. The Tigers in charge at the first break.
