13s Round 10 vs South Coogee White PDF Print E-mail

Sam and Jake celebrated their 50th games and Braydn celebrated his 100th game

Right from the first bounce Roleystone's intensity was fierce, sticking on their players. Roley got it down to their end only to have a point scored, someone must have moved the post. There was some great play by our boys and some specky marks not being paid. Great passage of play out of defence down the wing only, unfortunately being returned like a boomerang. Roleystone are holding their opponents and making an impact.

2nd Quarter started with great work out of centre towards our forward line, unfortunately not for long. After a great mark we were rewarded with Sam having a shot for goal, unfortunately he missed and Roley only scored a point. Tackling and defending has been great the second quarter. South Coogee won't let up if they miss the ball or tackle the first time they go in again and again until they get it.

3rd Quarter came and the rain started. Roleystones intensity dropped off a bit and it showed with South Coogee scoring a couple of easy goals. Plenty of position changes followed as the coach Tony was trying to get the right combination. A disappointing quarter made us look bad but we started manning up and making a contest towards the end.

There was lots of slipping and sliding in the last quarter as the rain fell down. Roleystones intensity stepped up again, making a contest at every opportunity. Roleystone lost as a team and will continue to play as a team.
