Two In a Row

It was a great mark by Ben Horseman which set up the first goal of the match and got Roleystone  off to a fantastic start. This followed by a few missed opportunities , but a great mark by Nick Z and some good teamwork led to a goal by , Brodie. Further goals by Ben H and Ryan H got the team to a healthy lead of 24 pnts at quarter time. Second quarter Roley dominated with noted efforts in defense by Nick Z and great commitment to the ball by Curtis. There was a fantastic passage of play by Nick G, Sam and Curtis inside the forward line which ended in a well deserved goal.

The running game started to lack spark by the end of the first half, but fortunately the score board didn't reflect this, with the lead blowing out to 39 points.  Third quarter saw Jarod and Josh H showing that they could provide the team with some excellant evasive running and teamwork. Quite a few of our boys provided the sidelines with some great marking to cheer on! The scoreboard kept climbing in our favour, but coach was concerned that the team was not communicating as well.  The fourth Quarter slowed in intensity, but Storme, Luke , Brodie , Nick Z and Curtis showed some great heart in defense . Curtis kicked the only goal for the quarter. All in all , it was a fantastic day for playing footy and it certainly was wonderful to get those points on the score board!!! Final score Roleystone 11 .12(78) to Kelmscott 4 .7 (31). Keep up the good work guys !

Solid win, with good signs of getting harder at the ball.
