Two 50-gamers celebrated their milestone this week – Cameron Allnutt and Tom Ostler both bursting through banners prior to the game, flanked by their cheering team-mates.

The opening goal of the game went to Adam, who marked right in front and looked very keen from the start. Lochie had a shot shortly after that, but it was touched through inadvertently by David as he attempted a mark. Minutes later Davo marked low down, straight in front of goal, and he had the Tigers’ second on the board. Liam laid a ferocious tackle in the middle, which allowed Jeremy to centre the ball to Connor, who then put through a behind. After some great team play in the centre the ball was again sent forward, and Connor this time booted the major. Cameron A. was paying for keeps as usual, and Bryce and Josh E. were doing well in defense. The quarter ended with David putting through his second goal after the siren.

Lochie was first to score a goal in the second quarter as Roley bulldozed the ball forward. Connor was laying some crunching tackles, and as for Adam – well he was marking like he had buckets for hands! Lochie put through a nice goal as Roleystone’s hunger for the ball was seeing them dominate the game. The ball barely got past the centre as Roley peppered the goal mouth. Matt O. marked and goaled twice in 5 minutes, both coming as a result of pinpoint passes from 50-gamer Cameron Allnutt.

Quarter three started with David screwing a goal around his body, courtesy of another trademark run down the wing from Lochie. Only 30 seconds later Ethan goaled from about 5 metres out, but Centrals replied quickly with one of their own, kicked by 50-gamer Tom in the opposition colours!

Matty was like Ayers Rock in the centre, and Adam continued to suffer from leather poisoning! Cameron M. showed strong, clean hands in the goal square but unfortunately what looked like a sure mark wasn’t paid. Centrals put through their third. Cameron Allnutt was in Terminator mode as he banged, bashed and generally frustrated the opposition players.

Lochie slipped on the Centrals colours and straight away opened their scoring in the last quarter. Coach Mick responded by swinging the previously mentioned 50-game Terminator onto him quickly. Adam thwarted Lochie’s second shot on goal with a mark in the goal square. Then Cameron dragged down a full-flight Lochie, a sight not often seen! After a scrappy few minutes up forward Connor snapped one through, and after Centrals banged through another, Connor showed real grit on the wing, following up his own handball and scoring a goal thanks to a kind bounce.

A fantastic team effort by Roleystone, and a fitting way to end another exciting season of footy from the under-11’s Tigers!!
