Early morning rain made the ground very wet under foot and slippery
Not a day for big grabs! The first quarter with Roleystone kicking into a stiff breeze dominated the early going but not able to produce on the scoreboard and Kelmscott scored the first goal and the only one of the quarter.
The second quarter Kelmscot jumped out of the blocks and got the first of the quarter but with great team play Roleystone locked the ball in the forward line and eventually scored a major of their own, the balance of the quarter was an even contest with plenty of run from both teams.
The third quarter again Kelmscott jumped the gun and hurt us early but as the quarter wore on another arm wrestle developed with opportunities missed on both sides with a brilliant solo run by Jack from defence set up a great goal by Roleystone just on the siren.
The last quarter saw end to end football with plenty of highlights and goals flowing freely and some great team effort from both sides made it a great game to watch.
